FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
From Big Bend redfish to Suwannee deer camps, Timber & Marsh exists to tell the stories of North Florida outdoorsmen and women. Here are some common questions about submissions, collaborations, and getting involved.
How do I submit a hunting or fishing story?
Click the contact button at the top of the page, fill out the form, and send us your story idea, hunt recap, fishing report, or outdoor experience. Include as much detail as possible—where you were (general region is fine), what happened, and why the story matters. Photos are always encouraged.
What kind of stories are you looking for?
We want authentic North Florida and South Georgia outdoor stories. Deer camp traditions, successful hunts, memorable fishing trips, youth experiences, public land adventures, conservation efforts, and everyday stories from local outdoorsmen all have a place here.
Can I submit photos without writing a full story?
Absolutely. If you captured a great sunrise, trophy fish, successful hunt, wildlife encounter, or camp moment, send it in. We may feature individual photos or build community photo essays around them.
What makes a photo more likely to be featured?
Clear photos with good lighting, genuine moments, and images that tell a story tend to stand out. We especially love photos that capture the character of North Florida outdoor life—not just the harvest, but the experience.
Can businesses, outfitters, guides, or captains work with Timber & Marsh?
Yes. We’re always interested in building relationships with local businesses, guides, charter captains, land managers, and outdoor brands that fit our audience and values.
How can I sponsor a series or become a partner?
Use the contact or sponsorship page and tell us about your business. Include what you do, where you operate, and what type of collaboration interests you.
How long does it take to hear back after submitting?
We’re building this community while balancing real life, work, and time outdoors. Most submissions receive a response within 7–14 days.
Do I keep ownership of my photos and stories?
Yes. You maintain ownership of your content. By submitting, you simply allow Timber & Marsh permission to feature it across our website and social platforms unless discussed otherwise.
Do I have to be an expert hunter or angler to be featured?
Not at all. Some of the best stories come from first deer, first redfish, family trips, kids outdoors, and lessons learned. Real experiences matter more than trophies.
I have an idea that doesn’t fit these categories. Can I still reach out?
Absolutely. Timber & Marsh is being built around community. If you have an idea, reach out—we’d love to hear it.
