About Timber and Marsh
Timber & Marsh was built from a passion for the outdoors and a belief that North Florida deserves a place of its own. Founded by Max Gardiner, Timber & Marsh exists to celebrate the woods, waters, and people that make this region special—from the redfish flats of the Big Bend to the big bucks of Madison County and everywhere in between.
I didn’t grow up here. I’m originally from Northern California, but after moving my family to Live Oak, Florida, I quickly fell in love with the outdoor culture and way of life that exists across North Florida and South Georgia. Hunting, fishing, conservation, and the stories shared around them became more than hobbies—they became a way of life.
Timber & Marsh started with a simple idea: create a community where local outdoor enthusiasts could connect, share stories, learn from one another, and showcase what makes this region unique. Whether it’s chasing speckled trout on the coast, sitting in a treestand at daylight, scouting public land, or just swapping stories and photos from the weekend, this is a place for people who live for the outdoors.
Our mission is to bring together a community built around woods and water while highlighting the people, places, and traditions that make North Florida special. Through content, storytelling, local partnerships, and eventually podcasts and more, Timber & Marsh aims to become a home for those who understand the pull of wild places.
This isn’t just another outdoor brand.
It’s a community.
Welcome to Timber & Marsh.
From Marsh Tides to Timber Lines.
